McCain Picked Palin as his vice president

Senator John McCain announced his running mate or his vice president pick as the Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Yes it is Sarah Palin an unknown person and no national exposure. He called her as the best candidate who can help best him change the Washington. Sarah Palin is 44 years old and a two timer mayor of Wasilla, Alaska before becoming a Governor less than 20 months. She is against abortion and in fact knew that her youngest child is a special child when it was four months in her womb but did not abort it. Her oldest son is a soldier which McCain said can understand much what is America is all about.

She is also a fighter against corruption and a Hockey Mom in Alaska. She is the first woman to be nominated as vice president candidate in republican and second as vice president after a 1984 in democrat courtesy to Geraldine Ferraro. Sarah Pelin husband is Todd who is into oil business. Barack Obama Camp sent a congratulatory message to her for being selected as the running mate of McCain.

Governor Sarah Pelin did mention in her speech that what Hillary Clinton did was remarkable but she said that those 18 Millions voters should be heard and those women should have a voice and crack the ceiling glass once and for all. A reason maybe why McCain chose her as running mate for Clintons voters.

Bush was happy when he learned about McCain Choice and he congratulated Palin and said that it is a strong team and he expect it to win.

Arroyo seek Clemency for two OFW in Kuwait

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo seeks clemency for the two OFW in Kuwait who are in danger of death sentence punishment. The president welcome the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah who pay a visit to Presidential Palace last Friday.

Here are the rest of the news:
Arroyo thanked the prime minister for sparing two Filipino workers who were earlier sentenced to death for murder and asked if similar clemency could be extended to the two currently on trial, the Philippine Daily Inquirer said.

However, the Kuwaiti PM said all judicial processes would have to be settled before clemency could be considered, the Inquirer reported.

The leaders also discussed the need for more laborers in Kuwait.

The Inquirer reported that in their meeting the prime minister said Kuwait needed more workers aside from the 110,000 Filipinos already working there.

"We have no quota for Filipinos, even one million are welcome," the Inquirer quoted the PM as saying.

The Philippine government earlier said that the visiting prime minister would oversee the signing of agreements on cooperation in the field of health services. However, the details of the agreement were not revealed.

I just hope that the two OFW will be pardoned and that their sentence will be reduced to life sentence. There are many expatriates today that are victims of circumstances. But as a christian we must save life rather than waste it.
